The central objective of this course is to introduce you to Mindfulness of the Body and help you begin a personal mindfulness practice. Both beginners and those with significant experience find this course extremely worthwhile.


Mindfulness of the Body means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our bodily sensations, movements, and surrounding environment and how it relates to our thoughts,feelings, and mental states. It has a variety of research-backed impacts, including reduction in stress and anxiety as well as improvements in job satisfaction, emotional regulation, spiritual growth, and focus.

When we’re aware of our body we are more connected to our actual experience and able to take care of ourselves physically and emotionally. Emotions are not just experienced in our mind but in our body as well. Paying attention to our bodies may give us an opportunity to address our moods and emotions in more skillful ways. This can help us to recognize the psychological states that affect our physical wellness and reduce the likelihood of health issues both mental and physical.
